TW/DW Crossover Ficlet

From Ian to Amy and beyond, he's loved them all. Even Turlough and Adam, as treacherous in their different ways as they had been. He'd looked both of those bright young men in the eye and had seen traces of a brilliant Koschei, the same Koschei whose already waning love played out in equal measure in jealousy and trust, antagonism and adoration, challenge and welcome not long before that love fractured into a thousand, irreparable shards.
He loved them all, even the devious ones, so he'd turned a blind eye to all the myriad little ways in which they had all disappointed him. All except Jack. The rest could do no wrong until they'd done it, but Jack...Jack is wrong. He'd felt it but didn't say it then said it but didn't feel it because he'd been too caught up first in his self-hate and then in his selfishness to see anything but bad in the one man who had lived through those same two emotions and come through them intact.
He's older now, and a little more self-aware, and while he doesn't exactly love himself, he no longer has to hide from himself behind a jug-eared grin or a tight arse. He can see what he is and still come through intact. So the next time he sees Jack Harkness will be the time he gladly spares that man a little of that blind eye he's so readily given everyone else. Because, blind or not, he loves them all.
