Dear NY State-- aren't we past the point of discrimination? Really? You might not agree with how people live their lives, but it doesn't give you the right to tell them they cannot get married. I happen to HATE the way you guys run this state, and yet you still do what you want. Today I am extremely disappointed to hea...r that you're prolonging discrimination against all the LGBT people in our state.
Gee, you know how much revenue you just lost out on through marriage certs and licenses? From a money standpoint that could've bailed out the mess you got us in. But the most important thing, you denied a whole ton of people the right to share their lives together in the most beautiful, committed way. Good job, assholes. If I could make important decisions for you I'd make sure you couldn't be married to your spouses and would outlaw your right to breathe the same air as me.
Oh and how does gay marriage hurt you again? This country is supposed to be about freedomes and tolerance yet you base everything in Christianity. Let me tell you something about my God. My God made everyone in his image, including gay people. He gave us all the ability to love and cherish others. Grow up and get over yourselfs and let people LOVE freely and without consequence, without discrimination and without hate.
That is all.
*for those who don't know the gay marriage bill was voted down in the senate today in Albany.
