Thought I'd get to posting this. Half the books I have in my notebook I can't even remember what they're about. I have them just marked with + or - depending on whether I liked them or not. No classifications for what kind of books they are. Some of them stand out in my mind, though, so I'll post those.
I like to read a lot of weird, sci-fi type books, fantasy & warped realities. These are a couple of my faves. (I don't know how to do the list thing yet.)
- Pollen - Jeff Noon (You HAVE to read this book!!!!!)
- Firebrand - Marrion Zimmer Bradley (my fave of hers)
- Dragon Tears - Dean Koontz (a lot from a dog's point of view)
- Woman On The Edge of Time (very very good!!)
- Black Milk - Robert Reed (my dad passed this one my way)
Most of the required readings on highschool I'd already read on my own in grade or middle school. Again, some of my faves.
- Alas, Babylon - Pat Frank
- Catcher In The Rye - J.D. Salinger
- Slaughterhouse Five - Kurt Vonnegut
- Cat's Cradle - Kurt Vonnegut
- The Bell jar - Sylvia Plath
Kids books.
- A Solitary Blue - Cynthia Voigt
- The Golden Coyote - Eileen Thompson
- James & the Giant Peach - Roald Dahl
- anything by Shel Silverstein
- The cat Who Went to Heaven - Elizabeth Coatsworth
- Something Upstairs - Avi
Mysteries & such. Mostly by author only.
- Anne Rivers Siddons
- John Sanford
- Anne Rice
- Elizabeth Peters / Barbara Michaels
- Snow Falling
- Snow Falling On Cedars - David Guterson (I cried & cried & cried)
- The Beach - Alex Garland
- The Bean Trees - Barbara Kingsolver
- Yukio Mishima (very interesting short novels)
- Lillian Jackson Brown (the Cat Who series)
- Maya Angelou
- Erica Jong
I'm sure there are a million more that aren't on this list, but it was fun to go back & remember these ones.
