I'm studying, again

Feb 04, 2012 23:27

Doesn't seem like it was that long ago that I was studying for the CRNE (the last time I studied for anything until now) and wow, I feel drained. I didn't know that being out of school/class for 9 months can actually do this to you. Now I know (ie: never going back to school again) XD

Here's a fun random thing: atelectasis. Well, it's not fun, but what do you think it means? What does it sound like? According to the world of information, it's actually just the really fancy name for a collapsed lung. Ugh, I apparently remember nothing these days.

Anyways, onto things that I DO remember, ie: hockey! Yay! [/sarcasm]

Only 1 game that I'm looking at for tomorrow out of 4 games, which, strangely enough, are the back end of back-to-back games for 6 of the 8 teams involved, that's going to make these games so EXCITING! (read: not). And of course, ALL the games are going to end before 6pm because the NHL really doesn't want to compete against Super Bowl Sunday (not Bowel as I was sorely tempted to type again).
So...
- PIT vs. NJD: eww...it's a 12:30pm game. Anyways, Pittsburgh just played against the Stanley Cup champions Boston Bruins and scrapped out a win (and a hit of the year thanks to Brooks Orpik) while New Jersey steam-rolled Philly 6-4. Both teams are confident and know what they want, which is a win. A win for Pittsburgh will bring them up to 4th while a loss or overtime loss would keep them in 5th AND New Jersey would be that much closer to them in points. New Jersey is currently in 6th with 61 points, and a win would give them 63, just 1 less than the Penguins have right now and if this goes to a tiebreaker, I don't think the Penguins would actually win at the end of the season (they lose right now because the Penguins have played 1 more game). So, as a Penguins fan, we're looking for the Penguins to win (of course) and for Martin Brodeur/Johan Hedberg to not have a good game.

Now, back to reading about hemodialysis and the heart. Hurray!

strange/useless medical knowledge, scoreboard watching
