Saturday I took my son to Day Out With Thomas. A. and I rounded up my son and headed out of here a little after 10 am. After the 2 hour drive and lunch we pulled up at the TN Vally Railroad. When I told him that he was going to get to ride Thomas he was sooo excited.
I was worried about how much fun he was having until tonight. He hugged me after his bath tonight and said, "Mama, thank you for taking me to see Thomas and taking me to ride the other train. And letting me meet Mr. Toppumhatt. I love you."
I don't think there is anything sweeter!!
After we rode Thomas, A. got us tickets to ride the other train. It was awesome. I haven't been on a train since I was 16. I had forgotten how much I enjoyed it.
The ride home was very long, but my son slept almost the entire trip. We fell into bed as soon as my son was asleep.
Today I went to see B. and set up the tents to see if they were ready to take out. My son finally crashed on B.'s couch around 4:30. I ended up waking him up at 6:30. He was worn out after running and playing in the sun all afternoon. I had forgotten about a meeting this evening, it was too late when the call came to B. I completely forgot.
Tonight I'm exhausted, nursing a sunburn and more sore muscles than I really want to think about. But I still say... I had a great weekend.
Edit: I also found at least 10 four leaf clover in B.'s back yard. Next time I go to visit I'm checking out the front yard!!
