Might as well type about my day yesterday before I forget all the little details.

Yesterday (Saturday) actually starts with the night before. Mom wanted me in bed by 12:30 because I had to get up at 7-8 to help set up over at the park for this picnic thingy of my brother's.
Well, I wanted to read a bit, so I got off the computer a little after 12 and went to grab my pjs...only...the floor was pulsing. Kinda reminded me of Poe's Tell Tale Heart, which creaped me out when we read it for English and saw a film of it. Anyways, I wandered over to the window and sat down. Clear as day I could hear "Ceeeelliiiibrate good times, come on!" and cheering. WTH? It was 12:30 and there was a concert going on like 7 blocks away and it felt like I had front row seats! They (No idea who) sang a verse from Kokomo and made a joke about the Beach Boys that I forgot (yes, I could year the guy talking too). Well, I read until 1, which is when they shut up, and attempted to go to sleep. Seems like I can't fall asleep unless I go to bed after 3, even if I am dead tired. Took at least an hour to fall asleep, cat woke me at six because she was cold and wanted to lay on me. She purred for half an hour, then got off so I could roll onto my side again. Fell asleep for a bit, then boom! Time to get up *grumbles*
I could have slept in for an extra hour because Caroline (mom's friend who was going to come to the park with me) was late. Dad had already gotten most of the stuff set up by the time we arrived--he was very bored since he had to hold the kitchen so no one else would take it for 3 hours.
People started to arrive after a few hours and I had to make sure everyone had a parking pass (we had to buy them in advance--5 bucks per car). After that, I pretty much hid in a corner with my notebooks.
About an hour into the party, I was called outside the kitchen where my Aunt showed me this cat she found. The cat was grey tabby colored with a tint of red/brown down her back, and no tail. Not even a bob tail. And she was pregnant. We brought some chicken over for her which she gobbled down fast. Tried to take away the chicken bone. Poor kitty. So, I took it upon myself to cat-sit and make sure she didn't jump on any tables. Everytime someone would look at her she would meow at them. We gave her some more chicken and a few bits of cheese and she finally settled under one of the tables.
Awhile later she wandered down to the creek to get some water and lounge out there. I stayed with her a bit, then got incredible bored and bug-paranoid, so I headed back to the party to continue hiding. Some kids came by to splash in the creek and I didn't see the cat again. Was hoping that she would be around by the end of the party so that we could find someone to take her home, but no luck. Someone probably dropped her off a day or two ago.

I got bored enough that I suggested a game of frisbee to my cousin, who is around 10 or so. He is decent, but catching the tosses hurt his hands. He kept hitting trees or the frisbee would roll quite aways away, so I would just toss it back at that distance. We got another adult involved, who seemed annoyed at him-Alex-because by then the tosses were really sloppy because he was getting tired and didn't want to admit it. I asked him several times if he wanted to quit. Nope was the reply. I am not one for physical activity--heard my brother exclaim that I was 'actually doing something!' I wanted to give hima dirty look, but was afraid that the one time the disk was thrown the right way would be that time and I would get hit in the head :-/
The bugger finally found an excuse to stop playing that didn't sound like he was being a quitter, and he ran off, after chucking several pine cones at me for some reason. I threatened to beat him unconscious with my frisbee if he hit me in the head. At least he paused before chucking it at me.
As I stumbled back to the benches, I felt six to my stomach from the workout and my face stayed red for hours. I curled up with my book and continued to ignore everyone.
Even as people were leaving, I was still being introduced to people I didn't know/didn't remember. Show's how good of a job I was doing at hiding out!
Despite being incredibly sleepy, I stayed up until 4 last night finishing up a book I was reading. It was one of those easy reading Lurlene McDaniel books. They are so damn predictable (mainly whoever is sick/has a disease, will die, people move on, the end), but I still manage to bawl my eyes out each time! Sobbing like crazy. Wonder if I can sneak it back to work without Trish seeing it. She gives me a hard time for liking those books. The book is called Time Capsule if anyone wants a good cry :-/
Slowly advancing towards the present...
I woke up this morning barely able to walk, my legs/thighs hurt so bad. Haven't hurt like this since I started carrying 30 pound boxes up the stairs at the library. *curses the kid* He threw more to the trees than me! Hopefully they will be almost normal tomorrow.

I was planning on this post being about a variety of things, but that can wait. See if I can get to bed a bit before 4 for once.
