It took me over 10 minutes to track down this drabble I wrote several weeks ago...who knew there were so many places for it to hide in one small notebook lol.
Anyways, this is a 100 word drabble, inspired by the MASH episode CAVE.


Nothing felt safer to a young Benjamin Franklin “Hawkeye” Pierce than a nice comfy closet. A place he was safe where no one would find him...

...Until Mom died. Suddenly, the ten-year-old’s haven became a nightmare. The coziness became warm and suffocating and his dad, no longer having time to over look the child’s hiding spot, always found him.

Years later, close quarters still continued to make him hyperventilate-be it a closet, a crowded mall in Maine, or a dark cave in the middle of Korea.

The war couldn’t break him...but put him in a small padded cell...
