So, the Leverage convention has been canceled due to poor ticket sales. The only surprise is that it took so long to let everyone know (I think it ended up being about a month before the convention), which screwed up a lot of people's non-refundable flights.
The things that didn't help it at all:
$400 bucks this year (was 300 last year), for the Plat. tickets
No Christian Kane.
No Autos included in free any of the packages like last year.
They took forever to announce the dates, to the point where a lot of people weren't able to ask time off work.
The guest stars hadn't really been announced until tickets were almost ready to stop being sold (I think they still weren't all announced).
Late release of weekend schedule.
SPN Con going same weekend.
And probably a bunch more stuff.

Glad I got to go last year. Despite all the screw ups, I had a good time.

So, instead of Con Con in Portland, I am going with Amy and Michelle to LA and, if I can avoid buying a bunch of crap I don't need, I will be able to do it a lot cheaper. Woot!

Pretty much plan on letting Michelle and Amy drag me everywhere, since I haven't been before and they have.

Actually, the only things I am sad about with Con Con is not getting to see a few friends I made last year, and getting to see Mark Shepherd, who was a guest star.

I will be leaving Thursday morning, June 2nd, for Seattle by train, fly to LA that evening and meet up with Amy, do a bunch of stuff, then head back to Seattle late Sunday, and train home that afternoon/evening. :)

travel, la
