ooh Look, An Update! *points, then runs in other direction*

Yeah...I've been bad lately ;) (With posting, that is)

Been a few little interesting things here and there, but I have been feeling anti-social, even though I could make a post in about 5 minutes.

So here is a bunch of randoM stuff from the past...week?

Starting with today/yesterday:
Cut because was getting a tad long:

Winlock wanted me to sub for them Friday, which is about the same time/distance from Chehalis (regular work place) but in the other direction, 11:30-1:30. I needed to be at work at 2 in Chehalis. So I stayed an extra 15 minutes Thursday in case I was late (because I still needed to grab a bite to eat and a coworker insisted I wouldn't be able to get back on time....yes, I took that as a challenge. I dove out the door at 1:30, and zoomed off. There was a train, so I took a second route, swung by the gas station for a cookie (which I proceeded to get crumbs all over myself while I continued on to work. Got in the parking lot at 1:59, and in the building at 2:01. Then I proceeded to read for 14 minutes until my shift started ^.^
Sooo, they wanted me to work today/Saturday, too, 10-2. So, eager as always to increase my paycheck, I said yes. I always go into town with Dad on the weekend, but 2:15 isn't too bad a time to leave by.
Set my alarm clock for 8:30, and went to bed at 2:30. I woke up at 6, 6:30, 7, 7:30, 8:23...at which time I said 'fudshjsdnc!' (my voice was muffled by my pillow) and gave up and got up. See, whenever I set my alarm for an early-ish time, I. Can. Not. Freaking. Sleep. It is like I am worried it won't go off or something (that happened one time and I only missed a stupid library staff meeting. Oh, and in between wake ups, I had these bizarre little dreams--can't remember them at all now, but *sigh*
So, work...Get there in good time, wave to my two coworkers, and go read for the next few minutes until I am 'on'
One thing I like about the Winlock library is that it is really quiet there...for the most part, and when I am not shelving a little, I just sit behind the desk...or stand. There was this chair, but it was so tall my feet swung a foot off the ground.
At 11, there was a magic show :D And I had a great view, since I was standing in the back. The guy was amazing. He did a few little pre-show tricks as we waited to see if there were any late-comers. Had about 40 people in all--mostly kids--show up. He did this neat rope trick, where a split rope kept combining, having multiple ends, etc. and he was wonderful with the kids, and I was laughing my ass off in the back. So glad there was no one wanting any help at the desk because I didn't want to miss any of it. So basically, I got paid to watch a magic show :D

Zipped on home at a bit after 2 (I have a habit of jabbering to everyone), and went into town with Dad. Made quite a few stops, including the Amtrak station so I could pick up my tickets...Going to visit michelleann68 over Easter weekend--21-24th March. :D We are going to a play Sunday night...other than that, dunno ^.^

My Thursday hours have changed. Instead of working 1-3, I am working 3-5. And I found out a couple weeks ago, when I was filling in for a sick coworker behind the desk (she was sick for a few days, and I made almost 100 bucks off it :D ), that there was a Writer's Group that met every 1st and 3rd Thursday at 6. So I think I am going to start going. I went to last Thursday's one--got something to eat and read for the hour in between. There are only 4 people in the group, and we pass around things we are working on, take them home, and critique them, then report back next meeting. Kinda intimidating...they are all waaay deeper into writing than me...as in actually submitting/publishing things. So I am playing around with an original piece that has been bouncing around in my head for the last month, but I have been too lazy to try to type...plus how to start it kept eluding me. So far, it is in first person, which should work fine.
