Oh way to go! That was so dead-on!! Totally loved it! : )

(Alan) I take a deep breath, hearing the bell buzz faintly on the other side of the door. I feel as though I am in my teens, meeting the parents of the person I fancy for the first time. Well, technically, I am. Minus the teens part. I want to squeeze Robert's hand, but I can't because my hands are clammy and we agreed to keep the touching to a minimum and the door is opening... (Hee Hee. Just met a guy so I kinda know the feeling! : ) )

(Mom) I hear footsteps behind me and wonder if the calvary has arrived to save me. WITCH!!!

(Alan) I am rescued from a very awkward staring contest by who could only be Robert's dad. (Liked Robert's dad. Thank god for him. What a sweety. How'd he ever put up with his wife?! )

(Alan) I turn to look at his brother and he winks at me. It is all I can manage to not bust a gut laughing: Simple gesture, but I could see so much of Robert in it. (Aww, that was cute! Very nice touch ( ... )

Dinner looks lovely as Mom and Dad start to bring it out. I get up to help, but Dad pushes me back to my seat before I can fully stand. Alan finds that amusing, earning him a gentle kick under the table. (Hee hee. Domestic bliss much? Ok, maybe not bliss, but still made me go awwww ( ... )

Sorry, LJ made me split the post up.
But thanks to LJ, we got three lovely posts :D

Thanks bunches! It is great to know the bits that seemed to work well.
And I actually tried real hard not to make Joy the bad person, but I wasn't all that successful, hehe. At least she attempted to hold her tongue ;)

Very happy you enjoyed. We had fun with this :D
