Awww... that was so cute that they started to do things in sync. And Alan starting to tell Robert a story... so cute!!! I have a question though. Have Robert and Alan worked together in a movie or something, or did you guys just randomly put them together? I just didn't know if there is a real life connection between the two. Keep up the great work! : )

So glad that you are enjoying. We are having a blast with this pairing :D

As for your question--As far as we know, the two have never even met, but it wasn't quite a random pairing.

Michelleann68 and I had recently became fans of Alan Davies. In fandom, he is quite often paired with Stephen Fry. Since Stephen and Hugh belong together, we had wondered what would happen to poor Alan and Robert. I was thinking that it would be a fun little crack fic, but then Michelle churned out The Strip, which wasn't crack-like at all, and it just seemed to work, pairing them together like that.

Sometime later, she managed to talk me into signing up at this cowritting community with this pairing. I made the main page manip, we started in on the prompts, and here we are, nearly 100 stories later. Now, to see if we can manage to do 100 more :)

That's cool. I figued you maybe based it off of The Strip. Alan and Robert are really cute together. I'm am fairly ignorant to Alan Davies' stuff. Any recommendations? Keep up the great work! : )

My favorite is Bob and Rose, which is a 6 episode series. AD plays a gay man who falls in love with a woman.
QI, which is Stephen Fry's quiz show is awesome...Alan is a regular on it.
In Jonathan Creek, he plays a magician's assistant who keeps getting roped into solving crimes/mysteries.
Plus tons of other guest spots and other little known shows.

I watched clip of QI. Alan is hilarious. Is he really gay? They seem to pick on him a lot... : (

Well, Alan just got married a few months ago...so I guess that answers that question.
There are a ton of clips on Youtube of Alan in QI. I could track down some of the good ones if you would like?

He also has two stand-up shows - Live at the Lyric and Urban Trauma.
He is most known for Jonathan Creek- it is a great show and he was one of 30 people considered for the role. (Hugh Laurie was one of the men considered for the title role). I think it is his most known role and he tends to be pidgeon holed into that type of role.

Not sure where you live, but Netflix has a few things for rental, I think it is eaiser to find stuff in the UK.

Glad you are enjoying it - we still have a blast working on the series every night.

Series 1-4 is available on DVD in the UK and Series 1 is available in the US.

I know there are clips on YouTube of both QI and Jonathan Creek.
