Commander
storvik obviously
did not approve of my actions in
disposing of the nurses and guards. Surely, he must be logical enough to realize that he is now in a different environment from his cushy Federation, and must adapt to his surroundings -- as he clearly expects me to adapt myself in conformity to his universe when we return.
There is no time for a fight, or even a heated discussion. Eventually
notsonicekhan would notice that
his nurses were not returning, or
unpleasant_ifix would return to duty to take a personal hand in our interrogation -- we must be gone before the alarm was raised. Our best hope was to escape on the Revenge; with her systems we could possibly escape detection long enough to formulate a way back to
storvik's universe.
Still, I attempted to explain my actions to Commander
storvik so that he would understand -- or, at least, not be a hindrance. People in the Imperial Fleet are controlled by strength and fear -- any sign of mercy is considered to be a weakness. If we act out of strength, and cause fear in those who must pursue us, they will most likely be less than diligent in that pursuit. Many underlings will look the other way and "fail to notice" a blip on their sensor array if they fear the consequences of finding us and having to attempt to recapture us. If we kill enough security personnel before leaving the
iss_murgatroid, those we leave behind will be more than happy to see us gone.
Furthermore, the more we kill now, the less we will have to fight later if they do recapture us.
