Stef finally called me again and this time we got to actually talk! She got a job at Applebees, but lost her ID. She wanted to borrow $20 in order to get some pants for work there, but I told her about Roy (he's her step-father, the only good father in her life) being out of work at the moment and how he's using his last $40 to change the tag from the truck to the new car that he just got running. Anyway, she sounds a LOT better and I was happy that we got the chance to talk.

I told her about your calling and what you said that the people said when they answered the phone. She was like, "Oh really? Well I'll have to find out who answered the phone and said that..." I asked her to call you, but she can't afford it right now. I told her to try calling you collect...all you could do is turn her down, right? I've always had that option for her to call us collect, but she doesn't ever do it...so...*shrugs*...I'm not sure if she'll try or not.

She reassured me that she's going to stay away from the type of drugs that almost killed her a week or two back. I asked her please to not do them anymore because Logan needs his Mommy and I need my daughter! She agreed with me.

We did get to see her for a little bit today! She came by the laundrymat where I told her where we'd be doing our laundry today. She looks so gooooooooood! She's lost a LOT of weight because basically, as she put it, "she's starving to death!" I told her that she CAN come over any time she wants to visit us, and she KNOWS that she'll be able to eat over here...so, *shrugs*...she doesn't HAVE TO starve! She's still working at Applebee's and just signed up for Nursing school at Albany Tech! I'm happy that she's going to be going to school finally! *WEEE!* :OX XOX
