Home with "sick" kid
EM Jr is home sort-of-sick. He has been nursing low-level colds all winter long ... the pitfalls of day care ... and then got some goopy eye late last week. Mr Macaroni kept him home Friday AM but never did get him into the doctor (seriously, WTF?!). Had he done so, we might have scored the antibiotics that got prescribed yesterday and not missed any work & school. Mr Macaroni took him to the doctor yesterday (it's not pink-eye, just infection), we got antibiotics oral & eye & now have to administer them. So EM Jr is out on the mandatory "24 hours 'til the antibiotics take effect" break.
Oral antibiotics are easy - it's a concentrated mix that we can spike his bottle with. Eye drops are NOT. Every time I have to put them in his eyes, I feel like a monster. We have to do this 4 times per day. *facepalm*
