Day 5 - Rest
Yesterday Mon woke up feeling very sick, not quite the same way I was sick on the first day, but very similar. We were already starting to feel like a bit of a break might be in order after 3 days of walking around places non-stop, but this more or less forced us to slow down.
I decided to try the bar downstairs for breakfast as what we thought originally was the room service menu turned out to be what you can order at the bar (not the restaurant). I got a breakfast which consisted of the flakiest croissant I've ever had (it was almost like it was made out of cereal), some coffee and some yoghurt, and then trudged my way back upstairs.
Mon spent most of the day in bed and I spent the morning online catching up with things, I watched a few TV shows I brought along and downloaded a couple of new episodes because the internet was so fast. Unfortunately I didn't really think that through and when the internet stopped working a little while later I assumed I'd gone over some kind of download limit and gotten us cut off. After kicking myself for a few minutes I jumped in the shower and headed downstairs to see if I could pay for a new password or something. It turns out they change the password on the 1st of every month, so my freaking out was unwarranted, and after returning back upstairs our net was working again in a few minutes. Still I think I'll hold off downloading anything else for us to watch until the day we leave at least.
Mon was stirring by this point and was feeling up to watching something, so we huddled around the tiny laptop on the bed and watched The Green Hornet. It was quite good actually and we really enjoyed it, much more than I assumed I would.
We ended up going to bed pretty early as Mon was still showing signs of illness and just hoped that she would be better in the morning as today is our last full day before we leave for Volgograd.
Unfortunately she's not feeling too fantastic still this morning, but a bit better than yesterday. We're going to drag ourselves out in an hour or two to meet the girls again at the nearby Starbucks. They've gotten something for Mon's birthday and want to see us before we go, so that should be good fun if Mon's body can take the trip.
Because there was nothing to take pictures of yesterday, I just took a couple of quick snaps of the Officers Hats I got for myself and Seijikat.
