Today is my day off, then Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday, I open at work. I have Tuesday off, and open again on Wednesday and Thursday, then have three days off in a row, I believe, so the sisters, Mom and I can go to Paducah for the sisters' birthday.
I have the feeling it's going to be a looooooong weekend.
I'm opening because the boss will be at a Nascar event, leaving after work tonight (I think? I can't remember if he'll be at work tomorrow or not). This means I get to deal with the freight shipment myself, rather than with his help (and I've only dealt with the freight shipment with his help once before; this could be interesting). Not sure how many trucks we're going to get. However, I'm guessing it'll go okay, as long as I don't get a newbie truck driver, who doesn't know how things go (the last one told me how things worked while the boss was busy in the store, so that helped). Also, I won't have any other deliveries this weekend, unless Frito Lay shows up for some reason or another.
No word yet about the VA clinic position. Sis KP, who alerted me about the job, said she talked me up to the hiring person (hopefully, with having not worked in any big business for a while, I won't be considered overqualified - again).
My concerns about FMA fandom are starting to come true; there is a lot less participation going on in any of the comms I belong to, which makes me sad. One or two of the comms might as well close up shop, as little gets posted to them.
On the other hand, last night on Robot Chicken there was a whole skit on Battle of the Planets (the very chopped, sanitized, Americanized version of
Kagaku Ninjatai Gatchaman), which made me laugh rather a lot, especially the ending with Jason/Joe, all bloodied up.
