Say it with me: "Karma is a bitch!"
I was at work today, and I was talking to an older customer, who said I was really an asset to the store (in different words, mind), and as he was walking out the door, he hollered to C, my boss, and said, "You got yourself a great worker here!"
C hollered back, "I know, but thanks for telling me!"
Later, C came in from outside with the telephone to his ear, and I heard him say, "...[Eld] works her butt off. I work my butt off..." as he walked past the register I was working.
Around one-ish, D, the assistant manager, and VS, another keyholder (which means she can open and close the store, same as me), came in to the store. I was eating my lunch when they came in, and I have absolutely no idea what happened next, but when I came back from lunch, neither D nor VS was in the store, and C came and said, "I can't tell you what's going on yet, but D and VS have been suspended pending a talk with S" (his boss).
Just as a reminder, D and VS were the two trying to get me fired because I 'didn't do enough work' around the store.
C asked me if I knew anyone else who he could hire or at least interview for positions at the store.
Well, then.
