It's so in character that Alphonse is the one to bring things up with Mustang.

I suspect it's because Ed needs more processing time to deal with upsetting things. Al just gets on with it.

I loved every part of this update, from Al's desire to hash things out with Mustang, to Ed trying to apologize to Winry then having to suck up his distaste and work with Mustang and we can't forget poor Winry trying to deal with emotions she had thought were put to rest.

Ed's comparison to Baschool was pretty telling about how he views this Mustang. I just hope this works out slightly better for him than that did.

I think Ed working for this Mustang would definitely be good for both parties. Mostly for Mustang, if Ed beats the wangst out of him. ^^
