Hmm, interesting. This one has an AUish feel to it, what with Al being restored (why else would he have been in the wheelchair?) and Kimbley alive and working with the homunculi. It's a very cool character study of Kimbley, who is one of my favorite characters from the series. He is very precise, very professional about his job, and carries no malice even when said job requires him to do horrific deeds. You don't get the feel that he enjoys the acts of killing or destruction (as a sadist would) so much as he accepts his role in events and enjoys the feeling of doing his job well. I got that feeling from his conversation with Hawkeye in Ishval, and I get that feeling from him in this fic.
