Poor Elric bros. ;_; I recently rewatched CoS (and discovered I didn't dislike it as much as I thought, Winry getting essentially screwed in the end aside) and realized I had totally forgotten some severe details, such as Izumi's passing. (Also that Ed mumbles Winry's name in his sleep, because omgseriouslyd'awww.)

You know, the discussion of similarities/differences seems oddly foreshadowing. Considering how much of an EDOSMASH trigger Winry's pain is to this Ed, I'm both terrified and excited to find out what's going to happen when he finds out what exactly happened to this Winry's parents.

I've never seen That Movie, mostly because I don't want to see Winry getting screwed like that. That being said, the angst quotient appeals to me.

Yes, I'm not sure if Ed will find out about Winry's parents or not. That's still up in the air. :D

Hmmm. Considering what an impact it had on Winry, it's gonna be tough to hide for very long.

Of course, Ed'll go ballistic when he does find out.

All right, the earrings story is out in the open! ^^ And Izumi too, of course - danr they really need to have a short moment with Sieg, don't they? It would just be too heartless for him otherwise and he's such a nice guy.

... And now to make a happy end: take this Winry back with Ed & Al and you can have the very first Win/Ed/Win sandwich with cream on top. ;)

I think you've broken mine and Ed's brain with that suggestion (though he's recovering faster, and getting this really speculative look on his face. Al's trying to remind him that two Winrii means double wrenchings, and would he bring Pinako and Den, too? And Ed's ignoring him with this speculative look on his face...).

You’re as close to them as our Winry is to us. Ouch. Poor Winry. (I feel like I say that a lot, but I always feel like it's appropriate.) And poor Ed - the differences between the two sets of homunculi (if he can find someone to tell him - Mustang, maybe?) are huge, and I can just imagine his trans-dimensional guilt if he finds out about Sloth!Trisha. Winry's not the only one left to chew over everything at the end! I'm still enjoying this.

I am still loving this story. Whew... Trying to catch up again. Poor Ed! And Poor Winry! I like how all the little 'reveals' are happening as the characters interact with each other more.

Two very, very different storylines just met head on. I can just imagine Ed getting the complete story on FMA1!Wrath and trying to wrap his head around it. Then hearing about Rose... wow.

More sadness. So much hurt for Winry - she always tried so hard to be close to the boys and they (Ed) put up such a wall.

Glad Ed has the earrings.

There are so many things they're going to find out about each other's worlds.

Ed always did (one of the reasons I have a problem with the first anime, really). It wasn't just for Winry, either; it seemed anyone who really wanted to help the brothers was shut out of helping.

Ed's glad he does, too!

Yeah FMA1 Ed was really bad for that... cost him too *still loves... just wishes someone more than Maria Ross had smacked him lol*

Yes, which is why I love your story. He seems to be learning from those mistakes. :D

And totally agreed about the smacking.
