"Because - because - they're Schnauzers. Little barky dogs with bad attitudes!"
"My dogs have great attitudes!"
"Oh, please. The male stalks men, looking for a chance to bite. The old girl is suspicious of everyone. And the other girl is almost as blond as - as Barbie."
"Nothing wrong with being suspicious!"
"Nothing right with biting!"
"Please, like you don't like biting."
"That's ME, not dogs." A beat. "And you...you've uplifted them?"
"Uplifted?"
"You know, when you increase brainpower in an animal. Like. You. Did. With Schnauzers!"
"You sound so...I don't know. Angry."
"I am."
"Trust me, this will be good."
"Schnauzer overlords are not good!"
"La la la, not listening!"
Some months later...
"See? Schnauzer overlords are good!"
"You have a very warped definition of 'good'. Do you know what I've had to do today? Find rats. RATS. So our overlords can chase them. For fun."
"Is it better than finding rats for experiments?"

"Stop whining."
"The Schnauzers whine."
"They're our overlords, they're allowed."
"I hate you for all your love of fuzzy bearded, beady eyed, barky little dogs."
