That's interesting about the eclipse, but the vet I'd not return to if they did indeed take the collar and leash- I'd not return to them but get a different vet; due to the stealing problem, proviso of course that they *did* indeed take your collar and leash anyways... that's the perfect revenge on any businessman: deny them your future business if they wrong you! And, no court that could exist anywhere or does exist anywhere could stop you too, nor government either! Not with the market as it is anyways! Besides, any businessman who denies you entry into his business is committing corporate suicide effectively, he's cutting off his own economic lifeline- businessmen need the customer's money, if they refuse the customer, they're only hurting themselves- which is a dumb idea about some other stories I've heard about by the way... there really is no need for lawsuits in such a case: just take your business elsewhere and let the thief have to go out of business. I'm forced to make a guess here, Evil Little Dog, but boy am I glad you had a good time watching the eclipse, here where I live we didn't get much of a view of it at all, really- so far off the course of the moon's track that it didn't make that much difference to the amount of light. I hope you're okay by the way, and that you're having a good time, but the advice I gave you is exactly what I'd do: I'd also call the vet up and let him (assuming your vet's a him by the way) know that because the office didn't hand back to you the collar and leash, I'd not be doing business with them again- I'd be transferring my "provider" and let the vet stew in it for a while, to think it over. Sincerely hopeful that you didn't lose your tags as well, because that'd be a major pain; Vantiri.
My sister picked up the leash and collar the other day and I should have them back by tomorrow!
I wouldn't trade this vet for a lost leash/collar...I'd be disappointed, but I wouldn't trade them. They're the best clinic in quite a few counties. People come from two states away to have their animals cared for from these vets. They took excellent care of my Pewter when she had eye troubles - six weeks they saw her at least once a week, sometimes twice a week - and charged me an absolute pittance for all that care and meds and work.
I loved the eclipse; I wish I'd had a better spot for it. Well, if I'm still in the area seven years from now, I'll go up north about an hour and see it.
