Life

Has been fairly uninteresting lately. I did get my hearing aid for my left ear (have been deaf in it for over a decade since a sudden, unrealized ear infection burst the eardrum and left me with Meneiere's disease). It's so light, I forget it's there and so tiny, it's invisible without former knowledge because all you can see is this tiny clear wire/tube disappearing into my ear canal. So far, I can hear 'sharp' sounds more than anything because when the doctor adjusted the device, it hurt on the first setting, so she had to set it lower. I now can hear the clicking of my keyboard keys, the sound of my dogs' dog tags rattling, and my own voice. Also, it's harder for people to sneak up on me at work! Whoot.

I still don't know what cube I'm being moved to. We heard Thursday that K, who wasn't expecting to be moved, would be, and M, who was told earlier she would be moving, wouldn't be. We also heard that one of the two-three weekends we will be required to work (my bank is buying out another bank), we will be working from 7:00 p.m. 'til at least 10:00 p.m. - which is usually about the time my body reminds me 'Sleep is a good thing, let's do it Right. Now!. And the morning of that Saturday weekend, there's a horse show going on we kind of wanted to attend, as M's daughter will be competing (and it's a close show, as opposed to most of them being 4-5 hours away). So, maybe go in the a.m., eat lunch, come home and crash? We are also supposed to be prepared to come in earlier than 7:00 if the tech guys finish their part in all this, or to possibly come in Sunday a.m. if we don't finish what we need to get done. I'm thinking, "Interesting in the Chinese sense of the word".

I realized the other day I hadn't posted the rest of my holiday pictures of the big cats and other stuff. Do ya'll want to see them?
