Whoever thought deafness was a good idea

Dec 26, 2006 06:50

Obviously had to sleep next door to electronic Christmas carols going off full blast from four in the afternoon until now, which, according to my computer, is 6:51 a.m.   *glares*  I can sincerely say I'm thrilled that I'm deaf in my left ear at this point.

Found out what happened regarding t he fire that broke out the other day.   Joyous day; the locals were doing a little vigilante justice and trying to burn the accused rapist who lived at the end of my block.  Somehow, I figured it was arson, I just didn't expect it to be arson against a person.

The weekend was quite odd; Mom, Eldest Sis and I drove out to Sis' house for two days (Sunday and Monday) to celebrate.  Mom said, as she and I were traveling, "This is the first time I've ever not spent Christmas in my own house."   We had fun, stuffed ourselves silly (Sis makes food like...she wants to feed the world, I guess), opened prezzies and watched Ice Age 2:  Meltdown.

As to goodies I recieved:  The aforementioned movie; an art tablet and some drawing supplies, money, more calendars than I have walls to hang them on (horses, wolves, seascapes and FMA), a gorgeous stained glass wall hanger of a Celtic horse, a Celtic crescent moon candle holder, elephants, candy, a blown glass rooting pot (that eerily resembles a little fat origami fox at the right angle), teas, and other nifty cool things that I can't see without wandering through the house.  Oh, and Mom liked the sweater Atty gave me, so score on that, too.  *laugh*

Now, off to work for half a day (couldn't talk Atty into letting me have the whole day, which sucks, because sleep is what I'm craving).
sand_and_shadow, I so don't want to hear any more gloating.
