Aunt and Uncle are in town
From Washington state. Mom's been their chauffer and last night/today, I drove them all around. We went out for a pizza party last night (the pizza was tolerable to me; the meats had no flavor and even though I asked for 'no onions', I still got them on my pizza - bleargh!). Today we went to Lynnville to visit my great-aunts' house (my first cousin's daughter bought it from Uncle Him and remodeled it so it looks absolutely nothing like it did when my great aunts lived there - like, the kitchen and living room have been swapped, the shop on the front porch is now enclosed and a bedroom, the smokehouse is now a man cave).
We then went to a little winery that offers free tastings. Uncle and Aunt are wine fanatics (their new house has a little walk-in wine cooler in it) and didn't like the wine but we all came home with various wines. We finally went out for lunch (at 2:30) at The Hilltop Inn and I had a monstrous burger and half of Mom's cheese sticks. Since I hadn't eaten anything for breakfast, by then I was starving. My sisters got brain sandwiches and Mom and Aunt had chili and Uncle had chicken gizzards. Pretty yummy but I'm still full now.
