I had to go in for a few hours today because no one else was scheduled, but I left before 10:00 after getting the most immediate chores done (cleaning laundry, making sure there were enough towels out, checking temperatures on refrigerators, and doing a quick walk-through to a potential customer).
I went to Mom's and waited for her to get home, and she gave me money for my birthday, and some Easter stuff (dyes and candy eggs!) for the rest of my present. Since I never gave her any idea what I wanted. The money will go toward my fence...
She also wanted me to call and find out how much it would cost to install my fence, so I called the guy listed in the paper and left a detailed message as to what I'm interested in. Then, I called the police department about the money I found last month, and talked to Records, who sent me to the Detectives, who were very nice but told me I needed to speak to the Chief of Police. So I left a message for him, too. No one has claimed the money, regardless.
We went out to Logan's for my actual birthday meal and had their new salads. I had the "Everything and More", which had dark greens, bacon bits, hard boiled egg, grilled chicken, cranberries, and other stuff. It was quite yummy. We talked about going out to get ice cream afterward, but we paid $4.99 for the tea - and oh, man, the tea is soooo good. It's hand-shaken with juice and carbonated soda and tea and YUM. It's supposed to have rum in it, too, but we opted for the virgin.
Mom's birthday is next week, and, when I asked what she wanted to do, she had no clue. So I suggested going to Hasting Nursery and then to the BBQ place we like out there. She liked that idea, even though she says we can't plant any tomatoes yet. Mmm, tomatoes.
