Something to make me smile

When I was driving to Mom's for Easter Sunday, I passed a guy walking his dog (on a leash!). The guy looked rougher than the dog, who was some sort of German-Shepherd-size lemon and white mutt. I stopped and they crossed the street in front of me, walking over the railroad track that runs alongside the road. The dog's paw went down into the gap between the rail and the road and the man stopped her, reached over and rubbed his hand down her shoulder to her foot and she leaned on him and smiled and wagged her tail. It was so sweet. Once he was sure she was fine, they walked off again.

I had a huge smile on my face as I turned the corner after seeing that, the two boys walking in the park smiled back and waved.

Work...if you aren't aware, I work in the basement of a building built sometime in the fifties, before all the water sucking away from basements came into effect. We had heavy, heavy rains on Thursday and Friday, and on Thursday, my last work day for the week, I'd checked the room that leaks a few days. And no leaks. I opened the room yesterday, and the room reeked of mold, so much so, my throat closed up and my tonsils started aching horribly.

I'd already started feeling yucky on Sunday evening, so that really made me feel yucky yesterday. Bleah.
