This has not been a good week for sleep

There has been too much Going On within and without my house for sleeping. Seriously.

For those unaware, I live in a not so great neighborhood. My current neighbors are all great, but I've had drug dealers making runs all night long, fighters, drunks, and all sorts of other stuff. Also, my house is very old (like, getting close to 200 years old), and despite being pretty well built (it has to have been, to be this old, right?), there is very little insulation anywhere - which means, I hear everything happening outside on the street while in my bedroom.

Monday night, Rogue wouldn't settle. She'd walk around, lie down, walk around, lie down, walk around, tap my pillow, walk around, etc. So I had broken sleep.

Tuesday night, some neighbor kept fighting with their scooter. I have no idea who this is, I hadn't seen anyone in the neighborhood with a scooter. However, this scooter had a dead battery, and the rider kept thinking, if he pushed the button repeatedly, and for hours, the battery would suddenly start working again.

Last night, Rogue had another bad night, and woke me up specifically at 2:36. She needed to go out. And then she wouldn't lie down after we got back upstairs, and kept walking around. I took her back out, where she walked partially out into the yard, stared around, and trotted back, galloped upstairs, and waited for me to put her on the bed, where she crawled under the covers and went to sleep. Unfortunately, just as I started dropping off, I had a coughing fit.

Which woke the dogs.

Which made t hem both start walking around the bed again.

I am not sure what I'm going to do tonight if I can't get some uninterrupted sleep.
