Auggie blinked. "Is that so? I didn't see it listed on my calendar."

"Ha, ha." Annie leaned against his arm. "I got you chocolate."

"Happy discount chocolate day?"

"It's not discount chocolate!" She slapped his shoulder. "It's expensive chocolate."

"What if I'm allergic to chocolate?"

He felt her stiffen against him. "Are you?"

"It depends. Did you get me something with coconut?"

There was a faint rustle of paper. "No?"

Auggie blew out as if in relief. "Oh, good."

"So you're allergic to coconut?"

"No, I'm allergic to chocolate. I just don't like the smell of coconut."

Annie slapped his shoulder again. "You're terrible."

He pointed out, "You're the one who bought me chocolate."
