So, I got a telephone call from the company I had my first interview in November, and they're reviewing my resume for another position. I hadn't even realized it was the same company when I applied (all those online places look alike). I recognized the company name when the woman introduced herself to me, and I did let her know I'd come in for an ( Read more... )

Good luck with the job possibility. And I'm very glad Buddy is inside, but I hope someone will keep an eye out for him once you go home and will bring him inside for the duration if necessary.

Mom kinda doesn't want to get involved (I don't blame her, this guy seems nice, but?). Sadly, I don't know any of her neighbors who'd be willing to check on Buddy, and Buddy doesn't know any of them, and might try to bite. He likes me, or recognizes me, and is generally okay, but since he was maced and kicked by the robbers, he won't let me pick him up any more, and now he's even more wary of strangers, for obvious reasons.

It's not a good thing, all the way around, Buddy-wise. I keep hoping he'll give Buddy to Earl, the next-neighbor down, because I think Earl's dog has finally died (I haven't seen her for about a week now, and there are no fresh droppings in the yard), and Earl's really ancient, and probably needs a dog to keep him company. -_-

I really really hate that people will leave their dogs out in this weather. I get on marynachaotica's case if she lets Blooper out without stopping to put his coat on when it's too chilly out. Our temps are supposed to go down to something like -15 Monday overnight. I think the 'wintery mix" is supposed to start today sometime, but the temps aren't too bad yet. We're still at 33°. I guess Monday's high is supposed to be -4. Brrr....

Get that interview!

I hate dogs on chains (or loose!) in general; well, that people allow/do that to them. There've been some flyers being posted online and on the streets advising that if pets are left out, the police CAN be called, and fines CAN be issued. So I'll be keeping an eye on poor Buddy.
