Anniversary plans have been made.
We are taking the Pacific Surfliner train that travels up along the Pacific Ocean!
We're going to be heading to Santa Barbara and spending a few nights in a hotel on the Beach!
I am super excited to be celebrating our anniversary! I got a FANTASTIC deal on this! It was hard to say no, so I snatched it up right away.
We both have never been to Santa Barbara (I've never traveled by this type of train), and the last time I spent the night in a hotel on the beach was when I went to Catalina Islands about 5 years ago. What makes it special? I'll be with my husband <3 The hotel offers breakfast in the garden and there's a park nearby. If weather permits, there will be picnics and bike rides along the beach. The hotel has a fitness center and a spa center as well, so I might be indulging in a massage there. There's a brewery house about a mile down the street, so I foresee that in our plans. A bottle of wine is for sure in our plans. I've yet to find a nearby restaurant that has good ratings. This is why married people get fat, because there is always reason for celebration in love.
The Bridal Shower was a success! Everyone was happy, merry and there was lots of laughter. I'm glad everyone had such a wonderful time :)
The bride and some of the bridesmaids are coming over tomorrow night to work on wedding favors. This means i need to make dinner for the girls and clean up the mess that is the living room LOL
I got my dollhouse on Saturday! So, I bought the dollhouse because it was a STEAL. It was orginally $498, but I got it for $125. Could I pass it up? Um, NO. So I bought it, that night, while looking at other pictures for color ideas, I realized how BIG it is:
Yeah.... it's HUGE, in the order page, all I saw was the image on the right (unfinished- how I got it). Oh well. I bought a desk for it yesterday so I can start building it, but now I am trying to figure out where I am going to put it. I think we're going to do some re-arranging in the spare bedroom (office) to set up a workstation for me. Right now, the office is James' office since he mostly works from home. I think it'll have to be a shared room now since I think it's creepy to put it out in the living room of two grown adults with no kids LOL I am pretty excited to begin this project! I think I am going to paint the house light blue, with white trim, a red door and gray shingles.
I think I'm going to get a treadmill. While I love my neighborhood, it's a busy main road. I don't want to get hit by a car. The weather is also on the cold/wet side, so I can't stay outdoors too long. The gym is also far away from home now and out of the way after work, so it's hard to get to it. Plus, this will MAKE me workout, I'd feel super guilty having it sit there and not being used.
Work is hectic. We're having a photo shoot and it's super busy here.
