I'd rather be working for a paycheck...

... than waiting to win the lottery.

Being a boss isn't all that glorious.
I'm tired.
I have been going into work on Saturday's to make sure I prepare for Monday and to finish up any lose ends.
It's been a nightmare trying to get all the girls on the same page, especially since they all don't work at the same speed. Sandra, the designer I took a leap on hiring because she was the least experienced, has proven to be the grinder of the gals. She works really hard, fast and efficient. She can forget things here and there, but for the most part, she jumped in and took off running.
Tatianna, the russian dancer designer who was hired by the previous Art Director is SO slow. She spends an entire day doing something that the rest of the gals can do in half a day. At this point, I need her hands.
Danielle, the designer who I was wishing would call us back and start work right away played phone tag with us but I let it slide because she had a lot of experience and has a good portfolio. She is slow. Gosh she amazes me with some of her questions. How has she gotten this far? She's a bit of a perfectionist, which is fine, but she literally will stop and not do anything if she's stuck. She has no initiative or independence to do what she thinks would work. I'm not entirely disappointed, but I am a little sad Danielle has been working so slow; on the other hand I am so pleasantly surprised Sandra has been amazing. She will definitely be staying on past her 90 day period.

Other than that, i have been spoiling myself with home stuff. I bought a sofa slip cover because Mozart has ruined my sofa *eyeroll* and got some throw pillows. I got a new bedskirt because Mozart has ruined the old one. Bought a nice teal bedsheet set, some awesome bathroom rugs and new duffle bags for both James and I for taking small trips. I shopped at Ross so really, I got an AMAZING deal. Seriously.

I took some clothes in to the dry cleaners because I am tired of ruining nice knit tops with the dryer. I might get addicted to taking clothes to the cleaners. I also found out they do wedding dresses for $80. Woot! At $2 a piece, it's actually pretty reasonable I think. Plus, their hours are convenient and so is their location.

I'm excited to leave for Florida next week.
I'm almost done packing both our bags and I've already arranged for my brother to come stay here while we're out. I'm treating Nancy to a mani-pedi on Wednesday since she's dropping us off at the airport. It's an overnight flight, so lots of sleeping on the plane.

I'm glad I have the iPhone now to keep me entertained on the flight, but I hate the battery life on that thing. It's ridiculous. I do however love T-mobile for knowing I have an iphone and providing service to me at a really affordable price. Thanks T-mobile. James also got a new phone, the Tmobile Dash 3G. It's amazing and I hate that his upgrade was FREE. Yeah, a $300 phone for free. Not fair.

My mom is working for Michelle Pfeiffers mom til mid July. I went to visit them last week and the lady smokes WAY too much. I feel sorry for my mom breathing in all that crap.

I can't wait to go to Michigan to ride horses, hunt duck and build a camp fire in the woods.

There's so many weddings going on and I am so excited to attend or be a part of.

I need to go to the gym, badly.

Lots of cleaning to do before we leave and I should be sleeping.

Good night.
