The thought of animals starving or being put to sleep because a human-being was so selfish that they didn't stop to think their actions towards their pets affected this same issue is above me. I can't help but WISH death upon people who torture, hurt or abandon their pets.
If you want a pet, rescue one.
We got Shadow, my soon to be 15 year old chihuahua from a family member who was going to put him to sleep because he was too big to sell. He has been the one true form of love since I was 12.
Mozart was from a box left on our neighbors driveway and he is nothing less than spectacular.
If I had a big yard, I'd have as many dogs as humanly/legally possible.
It makes me cry, really, to think about how many animals spend lonely nights in shelters; worse, how many don't live to see another day.
