Trotting Tuesday
Things have been going smoothly so far.
Any bump in the planning road has been able to be easily resolved :)
Today, after work, we are off to take engagement pictures. I have 2 photographers who are dear friends of mine that are volunteering their time to do this for me as a wedding gift. I am truly surrounded by amazing people. They are both so nervous about doing a bad job, but I am confident they will surprise themselves :)
James has an appointment with the Men's Warehouse tomorrow to go try on suites. Hopefully he finds something he really likes.
I bought a domain last night and am going to be designing a website with all our wedding information. I got a head start and made something last night that is just beautiful in my eyes! I hope once all this cools down, I can get my website updated and start doing some side projects.
Arthur wants to meet with me sometime next week to go over some design ideas for his brothers site and hopefully that will get more design work in my resume and more variety in my designs.
I'm currently a bit peeved with work - the raise they talked about, yeah, not what I had in mind because they brought up the raise I got a few months ago as THAT being my raise. It is SO minuscule that it almost seems like a slap in the face. I am going to have to bring it up to the owner. I'm going to do a bit of research (ex: my years of experience + education + city/state of work = $X), wait to get my Bachelors in the mail, update my resume and re-present myself and see what they have to say. It's clear enough that if they say nay and won't try to negotiate with me, i am going to put myself back on the job market under the radar. I'm not retarded, I won't quit here until I have something solid and firm.
Onto more happy news, I booked the reservations for the Champagne brunch and am waiting to get details on wedding cakes.
Halloween is right around the corner! Nancy made me my costume and we're going out Friday night as Velma Kelly and Roxie Hart! It's going to be fun. Saturday is WEHO Halloween Celebration. This equals to eye-gasms of beautiful elaborate costumes and gay men making amazing women. How I love the drags. :)
I hit the gym yesterday and worked out for an hour straight non-stop. Intense. I hadn't been in over a week or so and started feeling the negative effects of being a complete lazy ass. Thankfully, next Tuesday, I start my Zumba class!!! XD
