I have to admit that this weekend didn't feel like a rested one at all. A lot of good came of it though, so I am pretty happy about it. :)
Saturday morning, James and I woke up early to take little Mozart down to the vet. I found a purse of mine that had a thick lining in case he had an accident and plopped him in there with a hand towel. We walked in and the lady started asking me questions - I told her I didn't know much about the kitten since he was abandoned and we just took him in. I brought him out of the purse and there were collective "Awwws" around the ENTIRE office. James started laughing because it was so in sync. She told me the kitten looked to be about 4 weeks old and that to come back in a month. She advised me to keep bottle feeding him for the next 2 weeks. We made our way back home and Mozart was fine with being in the purse. I went out and got some groceries to make my famous homemade chicken alfredo for Leslie.
The MOH arrived and we then headed out to the Hilton Hotel for the 2009 Bridal Expo. Upon arriving I got a little VIB sticker so vendors could approach me. We feasted on free cake samples, apple cider and hors d' oeuvres, bubbly and candy. I got a ton of bridal magazines and several business cards. I made my appointment with David's Bridal for October and they hooked me up with a $50 gift card to be used towards my dress! I also gave my information to a jeweler to contact me because I dislike diamonds and traditional wedding rings. I really want a $400 ring of aquamarine and simplicity. I have gotten use to my solitaire and that was something I was afraid of since I dislike wearing jewelry. I found a local flower shop who carries the calla lilies I want! The best part about it all; it was free! We came back home and I started making the chicken alfredo and I passed around a glass of wine to Leslie and James. We enjoyed our delicious meal while re-watching gLee! That show makes me SO happy. She left and I waited for my cousin to pick me up for our late Disneyland trip. It was a ton of fun but most of the good rides were closed. Bummer. I did get to see a guy propose to his gf (well, now fiance) in front of the Disney castle! It was so romantic! All her friends were there and they were recording and crying. It was so adorable! I'm so gay.
Sunday I woke up super late and was rushing to head out to the parents. Mozart was in his bag with daddy keeping him calm on our drive over. I had to go buy a cake for my brothers b-day gathering so the kitten had to chill in my bag while I walked the aisles of the supermarket. He fell asleep... he apparently LOVES being carried around in a bag! LOL We ate pozole and had yummy red velvet cake with cheesecake icing and vanilla ice cream. Delish. My mom adored Mozart and my dad kept staring at him in amazement at how tiny he is.
I asked Jessen, who is part of 'my boys' (really, they're all like my brothers) if he would mind becoming an ordained minister so he can marry James and I..... his voice softened, he smiled and said "It would be an honor and joy to marry you guys" - and he was really taken by it. He also asked if he could sing at my wedding and OMG of course. He said he wanted to sing "Endless Love" and James said "No, you can't sing, if you do, you have to sing to me, just me" and they were all laughing. It's bad enough that when Sal got there he ran over to hug James and plant a wet kiss on his cheek. If it wasn't for the beer, James probably would've ran off LOL It was really cute. I'm getting more excited about it every day.
Work this week will be interesting - I hope I get to move to my new office this week! :D
