08/01/09 Birthday
Yesterday was probably one of the best days of my 26 year life.
The whole day could've been out of an episode to some cheesy dramatic soap opera that in the end left you teary eyed with an "Awwww".
I woke up to hit the gym, pumped gas, got a 5 Hour Energy shot and a liter of water for the spinning class. I got there to lift weights and do a bit of cardio before the extreme sweat session on the bike. I came home, showered, got a package from my friend Leah (http://leftoversforlunch.wordpress.com/) who got engaged on Friday and we screamed on the phone like pre-teens who had just gotten a call from the cute boy in class. I went back to getting my stuff together before heading out to return a dress, buying some panties at Victoria Secret and getting the last of the things for the party. James had mentioned feeling really sick, so my mind was racing at a 100 mph trying to figure out what I could give him to soothe his stomach. I went to grab a glass of water and James kept following me and just staring at me do things. I kept asking "Everything ok?" and he finally hugged me, kissed me and said "Can I give you your b-day present?" and I said "yeah, sure baby, that's fine" and then, he went for the move every girl who has ever been madly in love waits for. He held my hand, got down on one knee and said "I was wondering if you'd like to marry me..." and I smiled and said "of course I'll marry you!" and we hugged and kissed for an eternity. I was in such shock I just couldn't really say anything else.
The rest of the day was spent running around, getting my haircut, informing friends of the party and getting drunk. Nancy cried. My BFF is already shopping for a wedding organizer. My parents approved. My boys gained a brother. Congrats from all around. Best.Night.Ever.
