It Does No Good to Hope For Failure

Mar 17, 2009 09:55

This morning started very early, 5:15am early. It is inhumane to ask any living person to leave the comfort of their bed at this unGodly hour. James kept making jokes at me for being so rushed and we both shivered in the car on our way out.

I dropped him off at 6:15am in front of the OC FairGrounds to wait in line for a pair of tickets to see Obama tomorrow. Tickets are free on a first come-first serve basis, and I told him I would LOVE to attend and he volunteered to wait out in line for us. YAY! I hope he grabs a pair; but I'm also concerned how my boss will react to me leaving an hour earlier tomorrow. She's a racist uber Repub who is angry yet is guilty of taking her hard earned American money and putting it all towards her house in Cabo San Lucas MX. Can we say hypocrite much?
Meh, I don't care to get into political discussions with people who love to be spew negativity. If my bf who dislikes Obama is going with me to see him tomorrow can be man enough to realize it's about being a nation even though you don't agree with what is going on, grow a pair or put on your big girl pants and take care of yourself. :)

Anywho, I am looking forward to the gym today :) I have an hour Step Class after my mile and a half jog/run intervals. I'm also making a whole wheat veggie pizza for dinner. James will have a meat lovers version :D

This hearty dinner requires that I have a simple light lunch; so as soon as we figure out what we're getting here at the office, I'll make sure to order accordingly. Free Lunch Tuesdays ftw

I'm really enjoying the days off school; I'm suppose to start tomorrow (unless we score tickets for Obama) and it makes me sad. I enjoy learning and like school overall, but I am really starting to hate a FULL schedule. My life fits around work and school.

I'm taking Shadow to his vet visit this coming Saturday so they can tell me his fate. I told my mom and she got really teary eyed and simply stated "I hope you can bring him back home after his visit" when I told her if they schedule him to be put to sleep, that I'd keep him for a bit. I'll be keeping him at my apartment for a few days with James watching him for me since I'm not allowed to have pets. Shadow is almost 14, so he won't be barking his head off or wanting to play. Chances are, he'll be thrilled to just be close to me napping all day.

I'm kinda hungry so I'm off to have my mid morning snack; Greek Honey Yogurt ftw!

EDIT: No dice on the tickets for tomorrow; apparently, as much as south Orange County is full of rich, racist Repubs - a lot of people want to see the President. James was a trooper and for that, he will be rewarded kindly :D LOL
