Again with the work status update. But since two of the subjects are already over with, I've just got:
-Finish The Chosen, so far a very good book with a number of ironically hilarious incidents in which Jewish people say "Jesus Christ!"
-Three sets of notecards
In the next two days. Niiiiiice.
Health due today along with exams. The exam consisted of:
-50% easy shit.
-25% that required a basic knowledge of anatomy
-25% "How the fuck am I supposed to know that?"
Probably squeaked by with a low A, if I had to guess. On a related note, my friends make me feel so much better about my own procrastination habits
Figured out how transfer songs from LimeWire to iTunes tonight, so I proceeded to transfer some illegally downloaded Japanese songs from anime onto the ol' iPod.
Also concerning illegally downloaded Japanese material, my computer has surprised me. Despite being ancient, the thing has proved capable of downloading (through BitTorrent) several episodes of the Naruto anime, which I have enjoyed greatly.
Many of you may know about the condition of my foot. Well, on Sunday at the lake, I was gettin' ready for some N64 action. Opening the drawer which contained the system, controllers, and games, I whipped out the system, a controller, tossed in the Rumble Pak (I'm so used to the extra weight I can't play without it) and got ready for a serious round of Mario Kart 64. As it turned out, though, that particular cartridge was at the back of the drawer, so, I pulled the drawer out. All the way out. Apparently not secured within the confines of the dresser on which my TV resides, the drawer slammed onto the floor (and thusly my right big toe) with the full weight of several pounds of wood, three controllers, and at least 20 Nintendo 64 games. Well, with a good deal of my extended family within earshot, I restrained myself from screaming and instead gasped in pain and thought words that would make Satan cry.
So, after a few days of serious pain and a massive overdose of Ibuprofen, my toe is feeling better but still in pain. The area around the nail is swollen like crazy, the nail itself is quite dead, and both the nail and its surroundings are a lovely shade of sickly blue. Wonderful, ain't it? It's not broken, so there's really nothing much to do but sit around, wait for the pain/swelling to go away, the nail to pop off, and the new one to grow in. Pleasant, no?
