So Dennis was, as Kendal said, somewhat of a letdown. Nothing but wind and rain, and our power was only out for a little bit. It was rather inconvenient though, when, at about 1:30, the power went out. I was in the bathroom, getting ready for bed, and when the lights went out, I expressed my annoyance with one clear, concise word: "Fuck." So I had to grope through the darkness to my bed.
In a related story, our black lab, Ash, is both a psycho and wuss of the highest degree. Last night, I let him out into the backyard, and he didn't come back for like ten minutes. So Mom and Kendal went to search for him, and eventually dragged him back inside right as the power went out. Well, the lights going out suddenly seems to frighten him, and he proceeded to act panicky and scared until the power came back on. When it went out AGAIN later that night (the time described above), he was so frightened that he climbed up onto the bed, over me, and up next to the wall, where he stayed for a good ten minutes or so.
It seems that our PS2 only reacts badly to DDR. I played Ace Combat 5 for a good amount of time both yesterday and today, and it did not freak out at all.
I bought the first three Fullmetal Alchemist DVDs at Best Buy last week. Wonderful, wonderful show that is. They also had the Platinum series Evangelion DVDs, but I noticed that only the last two DVDs had director's cut episodes. I was gonna buy those, too, but then I looked in my wallet and discovered I had far less money than I thought I did. So I'll hold out on that for now.
Speaking of Eva, it seems that
[adult swim] has picked it up. I was extremely excited about this at first, but then I remembered how craptastic the dub is. So now, I am a great deal less excited.
In other news,
Greece is retarded. 'Nuff said.
I asked Kendal tonight who all would be coming to the Harry Potter party at Milestone on Friday. She replied that it would be her, Sarah, and the members of the senior Math Team that are in town. So that means, unless I can drag Emily along with me, I will be the only freshman there! Woo!
Should I? Aw hell, I guess so:
HBP IN THREE DAYS TWENTY-ONE HOURS 28 MINUTES FOURTY-FIVE SECONDS (as of the time this was typed)!!! WHEE!
