So today I applied for a couple of jobs online. One required calling a number to verify my information, so I did. The lady got done asking me some questions and then asked if I was interested in pursuing my education. I said I probably would in the near future. She asked if she could recommend me to some colleges that specialize in my degree and I said "Okay". So she offered four colleges and said representatives may call me hear soon or in the next couple of days to give me some information. I was just trying to be polite to her cuz she seemed so desperate to give this information. I never really planned on calling these guys till I was really serious about going to college again. Five minutes after I got done talking to her, these colleges started calling. I'm trying to get ready for work so I figured they'd just leave me a message. Some did, but others just kept calling me! Like five times! The hell? I was at work, on my lunch, at 8:30PM when another called! I answered and said "Um, I'm at work right now and it's 8:30 at night...." The response was "Oh....well when can we contact you again?" I told him Monday, but I have their number so I will know not to pick up. I mean come on, they are almost as bad as telemarketers! If they don't stop, I'm going to pick up and just say "She doesn't live here anymore." You'd think leaving a message would be enough. If someone was really interested, they'd call back. Take a hint when I don't answer after five calls.
Work was rough tonight and I gotta go back in tomorrow at 11am. :(
