Perfume... insurance?

May 12, 2012 13:33

I recently went in to review my renter's insurance and decided it might be a good time to up my coverage as I've amassed quite a perfume collection over the last two years. However, imagine my surprise when my agent informed me that perfume is not covered by my policy, nor will they cover it - so if anything happens, I'm out of luck.

Has anyone else run into this problem and found a working solution? The majority of my bottles are BPAL and I'd say at least 90% of them are (relatively) irreplaceable LE's/discontinued. I don't live in a high crime area or on a flood plain or anything, but right now it's looking like in case of a fire, the perfume boxes better be my #1 priority to grab and go. I'd feel better if there was SOMETHING I could do about it.
