Lizzie
For the first time since having Seven, I took Lizzie out for a walk, just the two of us. It was amazing. She made me feel like she has missed me hugely. She seemed so happy to be out with me doing things again.
At one point I had her tied up at the farm yard. I wanted to pick up what I was going to be putting on her out of the tack room so I asked asher to stay with her for a few minutes. As I walked away Lizzie got quite upset and wanted to follow me. It didn't matter that someone was with her, all she cared about is was that it wasn't me who was with her.
When out for a walk today she walked so quickly. She had always been pretty relaxed before, but today it was like she had a new lease of life and really wanted to be going places. She was excited to be doing something, even if it was just a walk out in hand.
It really was lovely. I had groomed her after and stepped away from her. She instantly picked her rug up in her mouth. It was thrown over the stable door she was tied next to. I think she was making sure I hadn't forgotten to put her rug back on :D
Also whilst out today I met up with Jane who owns the riding school by us. I have managed to secure the use of her indoor school for the same price I have always paid to use the outdoor school at the farm!!! There are time restrictions on when we can use it but she is closed Sundays and Mondays and doesn't start lessons until midday the days she is open and we can use it at any other time. Its closer than the outdoor school we have used for years, its got a roof, it has lights, a sound system so we can play music, a covered viewing gallery so any friends can watch, it has jumps, a proper wall around the edge, no barbed wire around the edge, no horses able to lean in when I'm riding, it has proper drainage and there are never random tractors parked in it for months on end! I am so happy!!!
