The Eyes have it!
Yes, I did the Lasiks thing, and I wish I had done it twenty years ago. Every thing that they told me would happen in the procedure did exactly like they said. (Still, I was glad for the Valium. I may have looked calm and collected on the outside, but I was a very scared little bunny on the inside.)
So, right afterwards, things were a bit fuzzy. After the mandatory nap, OH MY GAWD! I could see leaves on the trees! I could see things that I had missed for so long. From 20/100 and 20/200 before to 20/15 in both eyes afterwards. I'm still going to need those reading glasses, but that was expected for someone my age.
I want to take a moment and heap some burning coals of praise on my Evil Minion Baanah bint 'abul al-banit for being there to see that I got to and fro that day. She even got to watch them shove the stick in my eye! (She's the bestest of the Evil Minions!)
Now I can watch all of you like a hawk!
