I'm not the only one who sees McCain's choice of Palin for VP as a fairly obvious and insulting attempt to energize the exceptionally infuriating segment of the Democratic base who would "rather vote for McCain than Obama" right? Or, worse still, to energize the imagined segment of the voting women population who are so desperate to see a vagina on the ticket that they'll vote for anyone who has one, regardless of her stance on issues (like, say, her completely 100% pro-life stance)? Oh, and let's not even begin to discuss how McCain is undermining his EXPERIENCE!!!!! rallying cry by picking someone whose elected experience is to be governor of Alaska for a year. And to those who would argue "at least it's executive experience, not legislative, like Obama's" - do you guys actually know what John McCain does for a living?
Pancakes for everybody.
ETA: You know, the more I think on this, the more personally offended I get. So I'm just going to come out and say this in no uncertain terms: anyone who has now decided that McCain-Palin is the ticket they're going to vote for, not because of the values they support, but simply because you're so desperate for a vagina in the executive branch that you'll vote for anyone with a fun pouch*, I would personally like to see your right to vote revoked. Thank you.
* look, Samantha Bee said it, not me.
