My Favorite Fictional Fathers and Daughters...

Warning: may contain slight spoilers if you haven't seen the shows...

I love the relationship between these two (largely due to the fact that Becca Moody is perhaps who I want to be when I grow up.)
There is something about the interaction between them that reminds me of me and my dad, and the fact that while he may not be a good man, he really does try to be a good father.

Aside from the random inappropriate comments that went flying all over the place in s3, I do so love the dynamic between these two.
I love the (fairly) un-conditional love and support they have for one another and (most-of) their witty repartee.

He gives up his cad like ways in order to give her a place in society so that she can become whatever she wants...

Techinically this is cheating, but they are just as much like father and daughter as anyone else on this list. I love the way that their relationship grows from sort of stiffly formal watcher/slayer dynamic to such genuine love and affection throughout the seasons.

As messed up as this relationship is, its still probably my favorite father/daughter pairing of all time. Ah the messed up ways in which Jack looks out for Syd (brainwashing her to be a spy, lying to her, almost blowing her up to keep her away from her mother and of course, killing said mother.) And all their sweet moments too, particularly in season 5 (the scene where they set up the crib, and Isabelle's birth, and of course, their final scene which never fails to produce a whimper. Jack you magnificent bastard.)
