The Lovely Bones
I haven't sat down with a good book in a long time. I had to do so much reading throughout college, most of which consisted of research or other books I certainly would not read for pleasure, that I needed a break. I finally bought The Lovely Bones today. I have not been able to put it down except to watch the So You Think You Can Dance finale (my fave won!). This book is making me a blubbering mess, though. It is sooo good...but sooo sad. I am so glad I picked it up.
I also got Drowning Ruth by Christina Schwarz and Pen Pals by Olivia Goldsmith, neither of which I have ever heard of - book nor author - but my eyes drew me to them and they seemed interesting...and only $3.00 a piece...so why not?
I am off to read some more. Thank goodness my Mother brought a box of tissues with her that were never opened during her last visit. They will finally get some use.
