Christmas Eve: Was spent with my dearest Marc and his mom's side of the family. The evening was slightly chaotic, but pleasant on the whole. It's stranger and stranger to me the more holidays we share together that this is going to be how christmas/txgiving/etc is going to be for the rest of our lives.
While we were driving from Barrington back home--Marc incredibly cutely stated that he couldn't wait until we were making the mad dash to "every house" on christmas with our kids. It made me sniffle, but I resisted the tears of joy in order to keep myself just above the total sap line.
Christmas Day: Woke up, did the typical present thing with my folks and dan---then we had a big mofoin' breakfast--and took a walk. It was pretty sunny and (relatively) warm out, so the walk portion was more pleasant than in years past.
Watched the Dark Knight with my fam (which I had gifted to dad) and then mom dad and I went to the "dysfunctional family christmas party) that a friend of the family threw. This resulted in me hanging out (the only one under 30) with a bunch of ex-hippies drinking and recalling their days at woodstock--playing guitar with my dad and singing etc. etc.
Everyone was falling over themselves about dad's technical guitar skill/my singing voice. As usual--we were both embarrassed and ran away to go drink some coffee in peace.
Marc's Birthday (27th): We hung out with the crew during the day--then departed for the Scurvy Dog in providence for a night of cute-punk-dive-bar-with-good-music followed by a post midnight trip to NS's own Coffee & Cream.
NOw all that awaits is New Years...and my MTEL results tomorrow (DIES)
