I cannot believe it. Almost 2 years into my college career. I don't want it to end. I'm just starting to get it, the whole college thing. That grades matter to an extent, that friends are your life and that memories, even drunken ones, are what college is all about.
The past few weeks have been amazing. bOp! played at Gillette Stadium. And twice at Arts Fest. UWE played in Arts Fest, as did the chamber ensembles. Chamber Music Society performed too.
And I performed a solo. Yes, me. Yes, a solo. Weber's "Concertino for Clarinet." My parents came to hear it. I felt like I was in middle school again, with the flowers and dad's video recording. I was nervous for a good 2 hours before, but not while I was playing. It was very surreal.
Classes are going well. As well as they can, at least. I don't have the time to devote to them like other people do. But I like it that way. This has been the most challenging semester of my life. And I'm proud to be getting consistent B+'s on Poli Sci papers, because that's pretty much as good as gold in terms of Poli Sci stuff here.
One of my roommates and I have become really close. And we're living together next year. I'm super pumped. Edmond's 412 woooo!
I'm here until May 22. Just FYI.
More later.
I have an 8-pager due Tuesday. And a 10-pager due Wednesday. And a 5-pager due Thursday. Then finals.
Good times.
Yay college.
I love my RA and my friends.
