lol hey! no problem...if you have a newer lj account (the one with the ads on it) you're gonna go to the journal option, then edit journal style, then go to the custom options tab. after that, click on the images tab. the first option should say "background image URL". in the box, put http://i6.tinypic.com/14msa5j.gif....that is for the background i have..if you have a dif one you wanna use...then put that one in. then just hit save changes. you can browse through out that to edit everything else as you go. :)

if you have an older version of lj (without the ads) follow the same steps..but after you hit custom options..there is going to be a big blank box. that is for your html...

background-image:url(http://i6.tinypic.com/14msa5j.gif);
background-attachment:fixed;
background-repeat:repeat;
should work.
