|Spirit Day
I have on my purple knee-high socks, and scarf, and monster robot shirt todaaay. It's important for people to know that they are not alone. That no matter how different and unique they may be, they should celebrate those aspects of themselves, and know that there are other people who accept and celebrate those parts of them as well. I hope the LGBT youth, community, and all those that are told they are not equal, do not believe the lie. Because those ignorant people are wrong; you're better, you're strong, you'll overcome. There's light at the end of tunnels, rainbows after storms, and a place in the world where you are cherished for things others don't accept or understand. Places where that part of you is as simple and beautiful as your kindness, or your love, or your strength, or anything else that's loved because it's a part of who you are as a person that they love. You'll get there. Don't give up.
|Pumpkins
I want to go to a pumpkin patch and pick one out, then carve it while drinking apple cider. I don't know how that will look as I'm a twenty-something with no children, but I'm going to do it anyway! On another note, we were given a "pumpkin" today that looks like a zucchini, is green as well, only a whole lot wider and about three feet long. There are plans for pies, but I remain suspicious. Is this thing normal at all? I don't know if we should eat it or bury it somewhere.
it's days like these,
enemies among us,
suicide,
love is a movement
